Not everyone is computer savvy, so if you are having a hard to figure out a way to keep track of the colors you use when painting, here an easy and original way to do it.
I've been doing this for a long time. Sure! now I keep it on the computer and a USB key as a backup but I still create the colors with the paintbrush. Here' what I do:
As I prepare the colors for my painting, I also create a swatch that I can use as a keepsake.
I make sure to write the colors for each swatch especially if I mix a few (ex. the last one)
When my painting is done, I take a picture and place it next to all of the colors.
There was a time when we had to physically get the picture printed but now with our phone, it's much easier. Or course, if you don't use the computer you will have to get a print.
