Soul sharing
I truly enjoy the company of cats, they are not simply painting subject for me. Over the years, I had the opportunity to own a hobby farm with 68 acres of land and during that time, not only did I share my life with horses and goats but also with many cats who happened to stop by looking for love or some that I picked up in various places.
I love their company and truly enjoy their way of living. Sometimes cuddly other times independent, each has its own personality.
In this painting, I have wanted to represent a discussion between two magnificent souls.

Educated Pumpkins
Educated Pumpkins is a watercolor painting created with special pigments called: granulating pigments.
In watercolor, mixing those pigments can become a challenge because most of the time not only do they push each other to gain space but they also remain on top of the paper. which in turn makes it difficult to deepen the colors.
In order to help you better understand the quality and negative side of these pigments, I have created a pdf downloadable document explaining my learning process during the creation of this painting.
This downloaded is free and copywrith. It is made with you to share and help you better understand and is not created for usage in classes.

Fall delight
November 11, 2020
I am so honored that my painting Fall Deligh was juried and accepted into the Hope 2020 watercolor competition as one of the top 100 out of 810 participants.
Often while creating a painting I like to give myself some challenges and for this painting, it was no different. I wanted to create luscious orange colors using only base colors from my palette that would be mixed with yellows to create oranges.
I wanted a painting that highlight contrasts and colors. You may not be able to see it here but I have also applied some shimming color to the light subject.
I have documented my research and you can freely download the PDF file created during this process. Although free to use, it is protected by copyright and is not entitled for commercial or class use.
